Third Part

June 16, 2018

This will be the last entry for this month. For one week I will be out of the country on a business trip. A little nervous about it but exciting to visit a new country and see the foods and things they have. I will be in China if anyone is curious about it. When I come back, I will have the forth part ready. Until then enjoin the last entry, oh also happy early father's day.

My Fairy 3

Saffron searched for Nara, but she was nowhere to be found. Nara struggled to free herself from the net, but the wires tighten on her. Suddenly, it began to move upwards, and all the fishes swam to escape the surface, but there was nowhere for them to go. Nara looked at the shark and asked it to rip the wire.

“I don’t know if I can do that.”

“You must try.”

The shark moved back and launched itself at the net. Its teeth caught a few strains, and it bit down. It wiggled its whole body to rip the wire. Nara told the shark that it could do it as it moved back. The sound of the wire ripping was heard, and Nara said that it was close. With just a few more moments the shark pulled free, and all the fishes swam off. Nara thanked the shark.

“Next time don’t swim off.”

“Well, you’re a predator, and I thought you were coming to eat me.”

“Lucky for you I had my fill.” The shark laughed. “Take care maiden and be careful with the humans.”

“I will.”

The shark swam off, and Nara looked up to see the boat. She wondered if they would be surprised to see a creature like herself. Saffron’s voice was heard above so Nara quickly swam in the direction of it and surfaced.

“Saffron, I’m over here.”

“Nara.” She flew to her. “I am glad that you managed to escape from the shark.”

“Actually, it was trying to warn me of a trap, and I crashed into it. But it saved me.”

“That’s good. Well, I should transform you back, but first I should take you on dry land.”

Saffron lifted her wand and flicked it. They both appeared on a shoreline and Saffron transformed Nara. She was glad to have her legs back and to walk again.

“So, where are we?”

“I’m not sure.” Saffron flew up and looked around. “I see a city nearby.”

“Great. Let’s head over there.”

Saffron landed next to Nara, and they headed to the city. It was a pleasant day, and the weather was warm. Saffron conjured a broad umbrella that covered them from the sun. While they walked, Nara wished for something to eat, and a sandwich appeared in front of her. Nara ate it, and it was delicious. They arrived at the entrance of the city and were stopped for a man that was dressed in a green uniform and held a gun over his shoulder.

“Who are you and what do you want?”

“We are looking for my home.”

The man stared at Nara with a suspicious face and observed around. “Where is this friend you speak of?”

“Right there.” Nara pointed. “She’s standing in front of you.”

“Nara, he can’t’ see me.”

“What? Why?”

“Why what?”

“Huh oh, I was… never mind.” Nara sighed. “I got lost on a trip and landed here on the beach. Can you tell me where I am?”

“Of course. This is the kingdom of Rock.”

“I never heard of it.”

“What? You must be joking. Our kingdom is famous due to our gracious King and Queen. They ended the war with the Volts, and we had peace for the past twenty years.”

“Saffron,” Nara whispered. “Where did your teacher send us to?”

“I have no idea. But let me call Ark and ask him.”

“Child, you may enter, and I escort you to my commander. I'm sure she will direct you to where to go.”

“Oh, thank you, but that's fine.”

"Very well, then I welcome you to Rock. Have a pleasant day."

The guard bowed, and they walked inside, but Saffron hit something in front of her and was not able to go any further. The man looked at the wall and saw the reflection. He walked to it and moved his hand around to feel what it was, but there was nothing.

“That’s strange.”

“What happened?” Nara asked.

“I think there’s an invisible…”

“Something magical must have tried to get in, but there’s nothing to worry about it. We are safe from those evil creatures.”

“Nara, you go on ahead and look for someone that can help you. I will stay here and wait.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes, child. It’s safe.” The man smiled at her.

“I will be fine. And you better go before the guard figures out about me.”

“Okay.”

Nara walked into the city, and it was a marvelous sight. The buildings were made of metal and stone. There were strange vehicles, and the people wore outfits that seem out of the 40s. Nara stood there looking at everything, and she had not noticed that a child was observing her. Nara turned around and stared at the child, who was smiling at her.

“You’re not from here, are you?”
